Sale man charged with biting a policeman while refusing a breath test

ASale man who allegedly bit a policeman has been charged with a number offences after he was stopped driving a van.

“David Samuel Ellis,55, of Farmers Close, Sale has been charged ¬†with¬†Assault on an emergency worker for biting a police officer breaking the skin , refusing to provide a breath specimen at the roadside, Drink driving , Driving whilst disqualified, Driving with no insurance, driving otherwise in accordance with his licence as he only ever held a provisional, and failing to wear his seatbelt,” said a police spokesman.

Ellis was bailed to appear at Manchester & Salford Magistrates Court on March 4th..
