There is an early Christmas present of free parking in all Council-owned car parks after 3pm for shoppers and motorists throughout the Trafford area this winter.
The scheme, which will run from November 17th right through until January 12th 2019, aims to help shoppers and visitors to the area save on their costs while providing a boost to local businesses by encouraging more people to Trafford’s town centres and villages.
Councillor Stephen Adshead, Executive member for Environment, Air Quality and Climate Change, said: “The build-up to the festive period is a vital trading time for lots of businesses, and ‘Free after 3’ is just one way in which the council is working to support them. This is a great opportunity to enjoy what our town centres and villages have to offer to shoppers and visitors alike.
“The Council is continuing to develop its town centres. The success of what has been achieved so far can be seen in how vibrant and popular our town centres are.”
Yellow stickers will be visible at on-street pay and display machines across the borough and in council-owned car parks where the scheme is in operation.
