ITV is filming a three part mini series about the life of England World Cup Captain Bobby Moore and his wife Tina. (see photograph above courtesy of ) Although their romance was played out in Essex, Brooklands and it’s corner of shops has been chosen to recreate those days.

The series focuses on the time before and after the World Cup when Bobby Moore and his wife Tina – his childhood sweetheart- became the Golden couple of the times. But the series also explores Bobby’s testicular cancer.

Former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan takes the role of Tina and has been transformed into a blonde for the part. She has also been filming the BBC’s Our Girl in Manchester.

Three weeks ago Peter Kay and the cast of Car Share were seen filming in Sale Moor, when he chatted with passers-by and children on a school bus.
